High Point, NC – Members Credit Union supported the High Point Housing Authority (HPHA) by donating close to 500 notebooks and 500 number two pencils to the 2012 Back-to-School Collaboration for Education. HPHA provided backpacks stuffed with essential school supplies for the upcoming school year to approximately 375 students who live in economically challenged communities of High Point. The event was held on August 10, 2012 at the Washington Terrace Park. According to Nadine Williams, VP Resident Services for the High Point Housing Authority, school supplies will continue to be handed out to children in need throughout the year. HPHA already has plans to help an additional 40 students who have participated in the High Point Housing Authority’s Summer Enrichment Program.
