Members Credit Union has been collecting funds through the year by selling T-shirts to members and denim Friday privileges to employees. T-shirt sales and denim Friday donations were deposited into a community fund for each branch and the funds stay local for each MCU location. Here is a list of branch locations and what causes their community fund supported during the holidays.
Morganton and Valdese purchased 30 new bicycles for donation to Christmas Cheer, the oldest charitable organization in Morganton, NC. The mission of the charity is to assist families facing financial difficulty in Burke County during the holidays.
Hickory donated $1,032.90 to the Hickory Soup Kitchen.

Kernersville donated personal care items that they collected at their branch and $660 from their community fund to their local Crisis Control Ministry.
