The 2018 fall Semester War Eagle Credit Union (WECU) Scholarship Winners are Kimberly Ororke and Bishop Norman. The announcement was made at Davie High School by Members Credit Union (MCU) on Friday, February 22nd during a Davie High School Varsity Basketball game against Reynolds High School. Alex Newman, MCU Loan Officer, and WECU Branch Manager presented a $1,000 Scholarship to Ororke, who is a Senior, and Norman, who is a Junior.
Students at Davie who open an account at WECU and keep it open are eligible to win one of the two $1000 scholarships given away in a drawing each semester by WECU.
In addition to student scholarships, WECU rewards teachers who inform students of the benefits of a credit union and refer the student to WECU to open an account. Mrs. Brittani Stegar was presented with a $250 Visa gift card for being the teacher with the most referrals during the Fall Semester. Congratulations Mrs. Stegar and thank you for your support of WECU.

In 2018, Members Credit Union founded the War Eagle Credit Union (WECU) at Davie County High School, located in the school's cafeteria common area. WECU is a student-run credit union branch powered by MCU that serves students, teachers, and faculty.
