Winston-Salem, NC, January 31, 2005 – Members Credit Union, a $175 million not-for-profit financial cooperative founded in 1953, announced today that it will relocate its headquarters to a new location at 2098 Frontis Plaza Boulevard in May.
“Developing the need to increase our operations’ physical space is a wonderful problem to have for any business,” Members Credit Union President Jack Braswell comments, “after adding 12,000 members, 189 new Select Employee Groups, and more than doubling our total assets to over $175 million in the last 10 years, we had no choice but to upgrade our facilities.”
The new headquarters more than doubles the size of Members Credit Union’s Silas Creek Parkway location of 22,700 square feet, and doubles the number of drive through bays to six.
The 54,000 square foot facility currently houses Truliant Federal Credit Union’s headquarters, but will become available upon Truliant’s relocation in April.
“Credit unions are service organizations first and foremost,” Braswell reasons. “Our new office allows Members Credit Union to meet the growing needs of our current membership and will allow us to add the staff necessary to continue our outstanding growth.”
This will be the fifth time Members Credit Union has relocated within Winston-Salem since it was founded here 52 years ago.
