Van with schools supplies Each year, more and more students and parents find it difficult to juggle finances and back to school supplies. This is why MCU is proud to step in and help with some of that burden. Working together with the High Point Housing Authority (HPHA), school supplies will be distributed to families living in public housing managed by HPHA.

“The HPHA does such great work with their residents,” remarked Jon Hamby, Member Relations Coordinator of Members Credit Union. “Their summer enrichment program to continue educational programs through the summer is quite remarkable.”
HPHA employees and volunteers will pack all of the donated school supplies into book-bags and distribute them to nearly 500 students on Friday, August 16.

About the High Point Housing Authority: Our Mission is to provide eligible families and individuals with adequate and affordable housing, economic advancement, and homeownership opportunities — in a safe, drug-free, suitable, living environment — without discrimination. Towards this goal, we offer a variety of programs, including rental subsidies, urban development investments and affordable housing.
