Members Credit Union’s (MCU) Annual Shareholders Meeting is scheduled for Friday, January 31st, 2025, at 9:30 AM in MCU’s central office located at 2098 Frontis Plaza Blvd. in Winston-Salem, NC. All members are invited to attend and exercise their rights as member-owners of the Credit Union and hear the financial results of 2024.

Members CU Board Election

One of the most important agenda items for this meeting is the election of the Board of Directors positions. The Nomination Committee has submitted the following list of candidates to fill three-year terms.

Jack V. Braswell, Jr. worked for Members Credit Union for 37 years and served as  President/CEO from 1991 until his retirement in 2016. He has also served on the MCU Board of Directors for the past 33 years. Braswell has earned wide recognition for his leadership in the credit union movement, including the Northwest Chapter Career Person of the Year (1996), the Ronald J. Hutchins Credit Union Person of the Year (1997), and the North Carolina Credit Union League’s Mark of Excellence Award (2004). Braswell is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Braswell and his wife, Susan, reside in Seneca, SC.

Karen Keller is the Town Clerk of Bethania, North Carolina. Prior to serving Members Credit Union, Keller served on the Supervisory Committee of Technicraft Credit Union in Thomaston, Connecticut. She later served as President. Keller holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Waterbury State Technical College. Keller and her husband, Frank, live in Winston-Salem.

Jeff Seaford has served on Members Credit Union Board of Directors since 2014. Seaford worked as the Director of Human Resources at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin, NC, for 31 years until his retirement in 2013. Prior to working at the hospital, Seaford was principal of Elkin High School. Seaford and his wife, Omegia, reside in Elkin.


To vote, please see your January 2025 account statement for a ballot or print one here. Please follow the directions on the ballot and drop off your ballot to your nearest MCU Branch Location. Ballots may also be printed, scanned, and emailed to Ballots@memcu.com or mail it to:

Ballots need to include your member number and signature and be received by 5 PM on 1/24/25 at MCU's Main Office.
